Franck Klarø's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kenneth Værnstrøm read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 18th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pablo Gaardby in the 20th minute of play forced Sårup SIK's goalkeeper Kenneth Værnstrøm to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pablo Gaardby fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kenneth Værnstrøm having to interfere. Kenneth Værnstrøm didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Franck Klarø went, in the 31st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. If Franck Klarø had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Franck Klarø received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Kenneth Værnstrøm tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kenneth Værnstrøm showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pablo Gaardby, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Franck Klarø managed to get in a good position for a shot. Grønnebæk SIK's supporters rose to their feet, but Franck Klarø was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kenneth Værnstrøm breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Kenneth Værnstrøm showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Franck Klarø, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. After the first half Grønnebæk SIK were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Hemming Stolpe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bastian Ladving, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kenneth Værnstrøm made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Pablo Gaardby sent off a good shot on target. In the 79th minute, Bastian Ladving made a precise shot to the right of Hemming Stolpe. Grønnebæk SIK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Hemming Stolpe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mathias Hvidtfeldt in the 93rd minute of the match. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Grønnebæk SIK walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
