The audience was convinced that Bertrand Dorsø's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sune Montis was relentless in the 10th minute of the game. Artur Brødsgaard fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emil Leiling having to interfere. In the 16th minute the ball was on its way in behind Morum FC's goalkeeper Sune Montis, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Bertrand Dorsø managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kirkeby's supporters rose to their feet, but Bertrand Dorsø was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sune Montis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Kirkeby's Timmy Milholt couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 20th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Morum FC. Artur Brødsgaard sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Emil Leiling made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Artur Brødsgaard in the 27th minute of play. Bertrand Dorsø's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sune Montis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. After 33 played minutes Morum FC got a freekick which was hit by Jack Warin. 34 minutes into the match, Morum FC's goal looked a bit too open when Miklos Ulberg came free, but Sune Montis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sune Montis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Miklos Ulberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Miklos Ulberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ejnar Omer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Emil Leiling tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Artur Brødsgaard might have been able to make a better finish in the 46th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Emil Leiling. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Artur Brødsgaard ran back to his position shaking his head.

Ejnar Omer struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Emil Leiling didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Morum FC. Sune Montis was a little too slow when Miklos Ulberg got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 58th minute. The score was now 0-1. Bertrand Dorsø might have been able to make a better finish in the 61st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sune Montis. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bertrand Dorsø ran back to his position shaking his head. After 63 played minutes Kirkeby got a freekick which was hit by Laurids Glydum. Ejnar Omer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Ejnar Omer managed to get in a good position for a shot. Morum FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ejnar Omer was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Emil Leiling breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a little luck, Morum FC's Sune Montis got control of the ball when Bertrand Dorsø tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Laurids Glydum fell near the penalty area in the 92nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kirkeby's protests and gave Laurids Glydum a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Kirkeby getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Laurids Glydum hit a great ball. If Ejnar Omer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Kirkeby supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Kirkeby would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
