Rutsker's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jimmy Neermann was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 12th minute the ball was on its way in behind Horne AC's goalkeeper Hasan Feltsing, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 14 minutes into the match, Rutsker's Olaf Mühle sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hasan Feltsing narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Olaf Mühle in the 15th minute of play forced Horne AC's goalkeeper Hasan Feltsing to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Jimmy Neermann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Rutsker getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Nigel Draaby hit a great ball. Timm Hekkel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Klement Strandvad having to interfere. After 26 minutes, Gerner Østervang mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Horne AC and the Rutsker players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 26 played minutes Horne AC got a freekick which was hit by Gerner Østervang. Jimmy Neermann received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Hasan Feltsing tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Horne AC defense, Olaf Mühle kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hasan Feltsing. The Horne AC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hasan Feltsing should have stopped the shot. In the 35th minute of the match Ronnie Donsbøl sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hasan Feltsing skillfully saved the ball. If Jimmy Neermann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Klement Strandvad showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Timm Hekkel in the 43rd minute of the match. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Gerner Østervang took the ball and in the 55 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Klement Strandvad. Klement Strandvad dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Hasan Feltsing showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nigel Draaby, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. In the 60th minute Timm Hekkel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Klement Strandvad saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rutsker's Jimmy Neermann got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Jimmy Neermann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Micael Rask kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. When Jimmy Neermann came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Rutsker fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jimmy Neermann couldn't finish the play. Johnni Bække might have been able to make a better finish in the 70th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Klement Strandvad. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Johnni Bække ran back to his position shaking his head. Johnni Bække struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Klement Strandvad didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Horne AC. If Johnni Bække had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 84th minute Jimmy Neermann shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hasan Feltsing saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 95th minute the ball was on its way in behind Horne AC's goalkeeper Hasan Feltsing, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
