Rüdiger Eppler fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Henning Frangen having to interfere. Udo Kruck received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Henning Frangen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The attack was good, but when Gert Burgers in the 39th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gert Burgers got free with Henning Frangen in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gert Burgers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Eigenrieden FSV's Mirko Denck proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save Eigenrieden FSV from getting a goal against them. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hartmut Voss during the 54th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Marc-Stephan Morgenroth's late challenge caught a Eigenrieden FSV's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. After having played for 67 minutes, Gert Burgers managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Eigenrieden FSV's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gert Burgers was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Ahrensburger tsv getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Mark Rebe hit a great ball. In the 74th match minute, Ahrensburger tsv was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Owen Rohde to maneuver through the defense. After 77 played minutes Eigenrieden FSV got a freekick which was hit by Udo Hecker. After a defensive mix-up in Ahrensburger tsv's zone, Udo Kruck stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Henning Frangen came out of the goal and Udo Kruck tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gert Burgers in the 89th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Henning Frangen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Owen Rohde fell near the penalty area in the 90th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ahrensburger tsv's protests and gave Owen Rohde a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Ahrensburger tsv's Owen Rohde got a free kick in the 90th minute. After 93 minutes of play, Eigenrieden FSV's Gert Burgers made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Henning Frangen was left in no man's land by his defense there! It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Eigenrieden FSV had played much better football throughout.
