Rüdiger Krenn received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Per-Otto Nagel came out and tried to block the shot, but Rüdiger Krenn slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 8th minute. Rüdiger Krenn fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Per-Otto Nagel having to interfere. Rayk Petereit made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maximilian Seidenfad in the 18th minute of play. A collision led to Schmittlotheim getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Gert Gross hit a great ball. With an all-out effort, Schmittlotheim's Per-Otto Nagel threw himself towards the right post 25 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Rüdiger Krenn, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Norman Breitenbach in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rayk Petereit saved Schmittlotheim from getting behind. Norman Breitenbach sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Schmittlotheim booed when Oberohe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Philipp Naumann didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Norman Breitenbach managed to get in a good position for a shot. Oberohe's supporters rose to their feet, but Norman Breitenbach was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rayk Petereit breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Konrad Themann sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 47 minutes into the match, Schmittlotheim's Rüdiger Krenn sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Per-Otto Nagel narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The referee showed Philipp Naumann the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Per-Otto Nagel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Konrad Themann, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Oberohe's Jonas Igelmann got a free kick in the 65th minute. In the 66th minute of the match José Assmann sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Per-Otto Nagel skillfully saved the ball. 71 minutes into the match, Schmittlotheim's goal looked a bit too open when Maximilian Seidenfad came free, but Rayk Petereit reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Konrad Themann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Per-Otto Nagel having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Rüdiger Krenn managed to get in a good position for a shot. Per-Otto Nagel made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Schmittlotheim had played much better football throughout.
