Gut Nienhagen's Elia Thüroff started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Karl Meise came out of the goal in the 4th minute to try and stop a shot by Gut Nienhagen's Hubertus Auberger. But to his dismay, Hubertus Auberger quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Arnulf Keidel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Rob Millar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 13 minutes, Hermann Mulder mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gut Nienhagen and the Fenerbahce SK players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 13th minute, Hermann Mulder hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 17th minute, Ulrik Wenning ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Karl Meise was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Karl Meise made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ulrik Wenning in the 20th minute of play. In the 21st minute, Gut Nienhagen's Keven Kierchrath seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Keven Kierchrath the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Gut Nienhagen protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Keven Kierchrath had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 22 played minutes Gut Nienhagen got a freekick which was hit by Keven Kierchrath. Lucas Trumpf struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Andy Raschke didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fenerbahce SK. 24 minutes into the match, Gut Nienhagen's goal looked a bit too open when Arnulf Keidel came free, but Andy Raschke reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ulrik Wenning sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Oswald Kaske to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 54thth minute of the game Oswald Kaske who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gut Nienhagen's Andy Raschke was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Gut Nienhagen's Andy Raschke played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arnulf Keidel in the 55th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Oswald Kaske's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Andy Raschke was relentless in the 55th minute of the game.
