Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Zwi Kühn was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 3 minutes into the match. 3 minutes into the game, one of Kievelberg:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Kievelberg:s Holm Butscher showed great skill when he stopped Gottlieb Piller:s penalty. In the 5th minute, Gottlieb Piller left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Garener Nieholt FSV fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 10th match minute, Garener Nieholt FSV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wenzel Lohmüller to maneuver through the defense. In the 11th minute, Kuno Suchowitzki fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Jörn Kühlert struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Renato Kirschner didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kievelberg. Holm Butscher didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ewald Kurz went, in the 14th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Holm Butscher took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erich Weinmann, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 20 minutes of play, Garener Nieholt FSV's Erich Weinmann made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Holm Butscher was left in no man's land by his defense there! Holm Butscher took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erich Weinmann, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 28th minute, Erich Weinmann made a precise shot to the right of Holm Butscher. Kievelberg's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. After some careless play in the Kievelberg defense, Constantin Odenthal kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Holm Butscher. The Kievelberg fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Holm Butscher should have stopped the shot. Holm Butscher made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gregor Besken in the 39th minute of play. Renato Kirschner showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Percy Krämer in the 41st minute of the match. Garener Nieholt FSV's Renato Kirschner played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kuno Suchowitzki in the 45th minute of play. Disappointed in the 0-5 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the match had gone on for 53 minutes, Erich Weinmann took a quick shot and it went in 0-6 without a chance for Holm Butscher to make any attempt to save it. The crowd rose to their feet as Garener Nieholt FSV's Erich Weinmann slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Holm Butscher. That made the score 0-7 after 60 minutes of play. After 67 played minutes Kievelberg got a freekick which was hit by Timo Langhals. After a rather tough play, Garener Nieholt FSV's Ewald Kurz got a free kick in the 68th minute. When Kuno Suchowitzki came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Kievelberg fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kuno Suchowitzki couldn't finish the play. In the 74th minute, Kievelberg's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Ewald Kurz fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Kievelberg's Holm Butscher proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to save Kievelberg from getting a goal against them. In the 81st match minute, Garener Nieholt FSV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wenzel Lohmüller to maneuver through the defense. Percy Krämer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Renato Kirschner having to interfere. Renato Kirschner showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kuno Suchowitzki in the 88th minute of the match. Kievelberg's Holm Butscher played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erich Weinmann in the 89th minute of play. Kuno Suchowitzki fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Renato Kirschner having to interfere. Holm Butscher made a fantastic save in the 97th minute, when Gregor Besken sent off a good shot on target. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Garener Nieholt FSV eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
