Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kuno Suchowitzki in the 5th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Espen Mackenstein prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Wilhelm Ziervogel during the 5th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Wilhelm Ziervogel hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. After 7 minutes of play, Rastatt's Bastian Manske made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Holm Butscher was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 10th match minute, Kievelberg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zwi Kühn to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Kievelberg getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Hansjörg Korsikowski hit a great ball. Bastian Manske's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Holm Butscher firmly grabbed it by the left post. Erhard König hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Jörn Kühlert received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Espen Mackenstein tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Kuno Suchowitzki had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Bastian Manske could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Holm Butscher made a huge save. Kuno Suchowitzki might have been able to make a better finish in the 40th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Espen Mackenstein. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Kuno Suchowitzki ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 41st minute, Wilhelm Ziervogel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Holm Butscher took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bastian Manske, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 70th minute, Leopold Popoola hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Kuno Suchowitzki had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Rastatt's Espen Mackenstein got control of the ball when Jörn Kühlert tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jörn Kühlert fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Espen Mackenstein having to interfere.
