Renato Kirschner made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bastian Manske in the 11th minute. After 16 played minutes, Garener Nieholt FSV's Fritz Nowotny shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Espen Mackenstein came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Garener Nieholt FSV reached it. In the 18thth minute of the game Erich Weinmann who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Rastatt's Espen Mackenstein was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Renato Kirschner made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erhard König in the 21st minute of play. Rastatt's Bastian Manske got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Erhard König managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rastatt's supporters rose to their feet, but Erhard König was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Renato Kirschner breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Renato Kirschner took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erhard König, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 38th minute of the match Rastatt got a corner. Garener Nieholt FSV's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Connor Lettinger ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Rastatt's David Terwiel to a score. 1-0 in the 38th minute. Erich Weinmann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Espen Mackenstein having to interfere. Bastian Manske sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Erich Weinmann to make the kick off. If Erhard König had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Gregor Besken had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Gregor Besken managed to get in a good position for a shot. Renato Kirschner showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Erhard König in the 80th minute of the match. 80 minutes into the match, Erhard König notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Garener Nieholt FSV's Renato Kirschner. Renato Kirschner was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Renato Kirschner stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bastian Manske's shot from short distance in the 86th minute. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 90th minute of the game. One of Garener Nieholt FSV:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Rastatt:s goal. Renato Kirschner made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erhard König in the 99th minute of play.
