The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Rolf Mertens the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Oferdingen protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Rolf Mertens had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 21 minutes into the game, one of Oferdingen:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Oferdingen:s Lysander Gundelach showed great skill when he stopped René Jeneks:s penalty. 23 minutes into the game, René Jeneks cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Lysander Gundelach was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Lysander Gundelach showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Torsten Bertel, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute.
