Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Holweide's Kord Dunz started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute Erik Buehler shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Deon Schmidt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hans Wolf fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Deon Schmidt having to interfere. After 9 played minutes Holweide got a freekick which was hit by Eduard Wanneck. Christopher Dotten sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 11 played minutes Holweide got a freekick which was hit by Anselm Nüssle. Siegfried Wienen's late challenge caught a Strickherdicke's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Siegfried Wienen helped the player get up and apologised. In the 16th minute Axel Dehnke shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Deon Schmidt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Jörg Schweger came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Strickherdicke fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jörg Schweger couldn't finish the play. Christopher Dotten recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 28thth minute of the game Axel Dehnke who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Holweide's Deon Schmidt was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Deon Schmidt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Axel Dehnke, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. If Erik Buehler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Kevin Benscheider received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Deon Schmidt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Max Olejarz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Erik Buehler fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Deon Schmidt having to interfere. Christopher Dotten fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Deon Schmidt having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Menno Bruckmann hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Holweide's Deon Schmidt got control of the ball when Erik Buehler tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Holweide's zone, Erik Buehler stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Deon Schmidt came out of the goal and Erik Buehler tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Deon Schmidt was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Christopher Dotten showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 74 minute of play. 77 minutes into the match, Strickherdicke's goal looked a bit too open when Kord Dunz came free, but Alois Ludewig reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Holweide's Deon Schmidt got control of the ball when Axel Dehnke tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 84th minute, Holweide's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Erik Buehler fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Axel Dehnke received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute.
