The referee ignored barsa01's protests and gave Sean Kieckbusch a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Strickherdicke booed when barsa01 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sean Kieckbusch didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alois Ludewig showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mauritz Kraus, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Erik Buehler got free with Albert Zellier in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Axel Dehnke sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 24 minutes into the match, Strickherdicke's Erik Buehler sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Albert Zellier narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
