Axel Dehnke started the match with the kick off. The supporters of Merenberg FSV booed when Strickherdicke was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jörg Schweger didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alois Ludewig showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alban Wohlleben in the 5th minute of the match. Franz Emig made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erik Buehler in the 10th minute of play. Franz Emig stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Christopher Dotten's shot from short distance in the 11th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Christopher Dotten managed to get in a good position for a shot. Strickherdicke's supporters rose to their feet, but Christopher Dotten was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Franz Emig breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Axel Dehnke sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 18th match minute, Strickherdicke was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kevin Benscheider to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erik Buehler in the 22nd minute of play forced Merenberg FSV's goalkeeper Franz Emig to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Merenberg FSV's Uri Staubach got a free kick in the 24th minute. Erik Buehler received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Franz Emig tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alois Ludewig took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alban Wohlleben, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vlad Grubac charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vlad Grubac the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Strickherdicke's supporters rose to their feet, but Max Olejarz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alban Wohlleben to make the kick off. Axel Dehnke took the ball and in the 56 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Franz Emig. Franz Emig dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Christopher Dotten got free with Franz Emig in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Strickherdicke's Axel Dehnke in the 62nd minute got a chance for a shot 62nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Merenberg FSV's goalie prevented a goal. 66 minutes into the match, Strickherdicke's goal looked a bit too open when Erik Teucke came free, but Alois Ludewig reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alois Ludewig made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vlad Grubac in the 70th minute of play. After 75 minutes, Erik Teucke mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Merenberg FSV and the Strickherdicke players grew even worse after the yellow card. Merenberg FSV's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Strickherdicke the free kick. Uri Staubach kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. Strickherdicke's Alois Ludewig played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vlad Grubac in the 92nd minute of play. If Kevin Benscheider had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Erik Buehler sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Strickherdicke's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
