Westring FSV's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ansgar Naumann was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Börje Schlösser could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Davor Spiro made a huge save. York Kähler made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yannik Schomburg in the 28th minute of play. Eicke Liebsch struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Davor Spiro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for 1. FC Goch. Eicke Liebsch received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Davor Spiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Westring FSV defense, Eicke Liebsch kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Davor Spiro. The Westring FSV fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Davor Spiro should have stopped the shot. Davor Spiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eicke Liebsch, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Davor Spiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eicke Liebsch in the 43rd minute of the match. Tobias Gröger kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. Börje Schlösser scored 2-0 in the 53rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Davor Spiro, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
