Daniel Krick fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Quentin Wieczorek having to interfere. Nils Zsack's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eugen Kunze read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nils Zsack in the 23rd minute of play forced PAOK's goalkeeper Eugen Kunze to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Hochspeyer FSV booed when PAOK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marco Lubbatsch didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, PAOK's Eugen Kunze got control of the ball when Rio Gütermann tried to sneak it across the goal line. Claude Rühle recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 42 minutes into the game, Nils Zsack was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Hochspeyer FSV's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave PAOK the free kick. Nils Zsack hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nils Zsack made a kick off. Eugen Kunze showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nils Zsack in the 52nd minute of the match. After having played for 54 minutes, Nils Zsack managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hochspeyer FSV's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nils Zsack was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 56 minutes into the game, Günther Kremmers was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. In the 57th minute of the match Takeshi Chakravorty sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Eugen Kunze skillfully saved the ball. Takeshi Chakravorty took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 62nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Eugen Kunze. PAOK's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Eugen Kunze showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nils Zsack in the 69th minute of the match. Eugen Kunze took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rio Gütermann, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Günther Kremmers hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. Rio Gütermann received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Eugen Kunze tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nils Zsack received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Takeshi Chakravorty, 95 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal.
