Homberge SV's defense didn't have a chance, in the 3rd minute, when Rolf Röhner scored to the left of an out of position Leon Schlick, making the score, 1-0. Linus Benada kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. In the 13th minute of the match Donald Appel shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Leon Schlick showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Ballkünstler SV's Jukka Rausch played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wilfried Runge in the 18th minute of play. Homberge SV were awarded a corner in the 19th minute after Ballkünstler SV's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Gernot Cuntze took the corner. Gernot Cuntze made a great header on Homberge SV's corner, it was just that Ballkünstler SV's Jukka Rausch managed to reach the ball for a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Albo Nagy in the 27th minute of play forced Ballkünstler SV's goalkeeper Jukka Rausch to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rigo Schollmeyer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Leon Schlick made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Rigo Schollmeyer sent off a good shot on target. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Wilfried Runge managed to get in a good position for a shot. Homberge SV's supporters rose to their feet, but Wilfried Runge was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jukka Rausch breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Fynn Haider received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Jukka Rausch tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rolf Röhner to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 56th minute, Harry Renner hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 62nd minute, Wilfried Runge fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Jukka Rausch, passed just outside the right post. Leon Schlick made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rolf Röhner in the 64th minute of play. In the 66th minute of the match Ballkünstler SV got a corner. Homberge SV's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Donald Appel ran over to the corner to take the kick. Leon Schlick showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rigo Schollmeyer, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. After taking down the ball on Ballkünstler SV's corner Donald Appel fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Leon Schlick quite easily take care of the ball. Leon Schlick showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rigo Schollmeyer, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. In the 76th minute Rolf Röhner shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leon Schlick saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Felix Schütze during the 86th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Ballkünstler SV getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Felix Schütze hit a great ball. In the 91st minute, Ballkünstler SV's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Wilfried Runge fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Gernot Cuntze charged in rather forcefully in the 93rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gernot Cuntze the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Homberge SV's Gernot Cuntze got a free kick in the 94th minute. Jukka Rausch came out of the goal in the 97th minute to try and stop a shot by Homberge SV's Gernot Cuntze. But to his dismay, Gernot Cuntze quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
