The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gabriel Faust during the 24th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Daniel Kaczmarek, 25 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Sebastian Greve struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Wolf-Rüdiger Feiert didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Untendorf FC. Janusz Naehring charged in rather forcefully in the 34th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Janusz Naehring the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Untendorf FC getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Janusz Naehring hit a great ball. 35 minutes into the game, Erich Gorny was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Untendorf FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Schleipfen FC the free kick. After 35 played minutes Untendorf FC got a freekick which was hit by Erich Gorny. After a defensive mix-up in Untendorf FC's zone, Jürgen Hein stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ullrich Juhr came out of the goal and Jürgen Hein tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jürgen Hein's late challenge caught a Untendorf FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jürgen Hein helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Schleipfen FC's Jürgen Hein got a free kick in the 41st minute. Wolf-Rüdiger Feiert showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fortunato Bernlöhr in the 45th minute of the match. When Norbert Ebmonts came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Schleipfen FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Norbert Ebmonts couldn't finish the play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fortunato Bernlöhr to make the kick off. After 51 minutes, Georg Bühlert mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Untendorf FC and the Schleipfen FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. 53 minutes into the match, Untendorf FC's goalkeeper Ullrich Juhr had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jürgen Hein. Wolf-Rüdiger Feiert showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sebastian Greve in the 54th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Schleipfen FC's Gabriel Faust got a free kick in the 55th minute. Sebastian Greve received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Wolf-Rüdiger Feiert tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 58th minute the ball was on its way in behind Schleipfen FC's goalkeeper Wolf-Rüdiger Feiert, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Schleipfen FC's Konrad Gall got a free kick in the 58th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Norbert Ebmonts in the 64th minute of play forced Untendorf FC's goalkeeper Ullrich Juhr to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jürgen Hein got free with Ullrich Juhr in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 85 played minutes Schleipfen FC got a freekick which was hit by Konrad Gall.
