In the 15th minute the ball was on its way in behind Red Bull Stuttgart's goalkeeper Pal Poreski, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Norbert Ebmonts fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pal Poreski having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Norbert Ebmonts in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pal Poreski prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 22nd minute, Trent Gercke hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Hubert Dieckmann's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Wolf-Rüdiger Feiert was relentless in the 31st minute of the game. Jürgen Hein recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Pal Poreski stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Norbert Ebmonts's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. If Norbert Ebmonts had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 46th minute Jürgen Hein shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pal Poreski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

Norbert Ebmonts succeeded in the game's 52nd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-2. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jürgen Hein got free with Pal Poreski in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 62nd minute of the game. One of Red Bull Stuttgart:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Schleipfen FC:s goal. Klemens Schuhmacher shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal.
