Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Hans Nordhaus made the kick off and thus started the match. Hans Nordhaus recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Valérien Dörmann received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Wolfgang Baston tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Hans Nordhaus had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hans Nordhaus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 29th minute, Bernhard Steffel left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Philcity fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. 33 minutes into the game, one of FC Philcity:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After a rather tough play, FC Philcity's Rainer Mayer got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Hans Nordhaus received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Wolfgang Baston tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bernhard Steffel was the one to do the kick off. In the 66th minute Valérien Dörmann shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wolfgang Baston saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Valérien Dörmann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Wolfgang Baston stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Valérien Dörmann's shot from short distance in the 70th minute. Erik Köpsel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frieder Kiesel in the 72nd minute of the match. The supporters of FC Philcity booed when Pietenfeld was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Conni Dogu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Erik Köpsel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bernhard Steffel, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Arthur Salecker kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. FC Philcity's Wolfgang Baston played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hans Nordhaus in the 82nd minute of play. Pietenfeld's Erik Köpsel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save Pietenfeld from getting a goal against them. 91 minutes into the match, FC Philcity's goal looked a bit too open when Valérien Dörmann came free, but Wolfgang Baston reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bernhard Steffel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erik Köpsel having to interfere. Finn Reisert kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. In the 96th minute, Placido Hobbes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
