Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) FC Southampton's Leo Waibel started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a little luck, FC Southampton's Mathias Michael Kästner got control of the ball when Noel Wolf tried to sneak it across the goal line. 9 minutes into the match, Ittersbach FC's goal looked a bit too open when Leo Waibel came free, but Arne Doderer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Ittersbach FC's Sven Bister got a free kick in the 11th minute. In the 12th minute Emilio Kern shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arne Doderer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Emilio Kern's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Arne Doderer read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. After 21 played minutes FC Southampton got a freekick which was hit by Stephan Schabert. Ittersbach FC's Achim Schüle couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for FC Southampton. If Noel Wolf had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arne Doderer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emilio Kern, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. A collision led to Ittersbach FC getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Sven Bister hit a great ball. Sven Bister kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Leo Waibel managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Southampton's supporters rose to their feet, but Leo Waibel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arne Doderer breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Nils Olejmeulen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Mathias Michael Kästner tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Benjamin Mathes's late challenge caught a FC Southampton's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Benjamin Mathes helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Ittersbach FC's Benjamin Mathes got a free kick in the 37th minute. The supporters of Ittersbach FC booed when FC Southampton was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Simon Heyde didn't get a good kick on the ball. With his leg Mathias Michael Kästner managed to avoid a goal in the 41stth minute, when Ittersbach FC's Noel Wolf fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Nils Olejmeulen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jeremy Schwartau might have been able to make a better finish in the 45th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mathias Michael Kästner. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jeremy Schwartau ran back to his position shaking his head. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nils Olejmeulen in the 47th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mathias Michael Kästner saved FC Southampton from getting behind.

In the 51st minute, Nils Olejmeulen left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ittersbach FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. If Emilio Kern had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 63rd minute Leo Waibel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arne Doderer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When FC Southampton's Leo Waibel in the 65th minute got a chance for a shot 65th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ittersbach FC's goalie prevented a goal. Nils Olejmeulen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Mathias Michael Kästner tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in FC Southampton's zone, Sergio Bendel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mathias Michael Kästner came out of the goal and Sergio Bendel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mathias Michael Kästner made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nils Olejmeulen in the 77th minute of play. In the 77th minute, Ernst Gratz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mathias Michael Kästner took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Noel Wolf, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Noel Wolf blasted a shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mathias Michael Kästner having to make a save. Leo Waibel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arne Doderer having to interfere. A collision led to FC Southampton getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Hannes Böhmer hit a great ball. When Nils Olejmeulen came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Ittersbach FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nils Olejmeulen couldn't finish the play. 96 minutes into the match, Noel Wolf had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mathias Michael Kästner. FC Southampton's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Noel Wolf was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0.
