Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Torsten Tierse made a kick off. Christoph Blumentritt kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. 52 minutes into the match, Marscheid FC's Spike Göller broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Jiri Mauel struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Donald Kasten didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Marscheid FC. If Rudolf Mosch had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Spike Göller fell near the penalty area in the 85th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Marscheid FC's protests and gave Spike Göller a yellow card for diving instead. 84 minutes into the game, one of Marscheid FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 87th minute Torsten Tierse shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Donald Kasten saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Donald Kasten showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Torsten Tierse, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. TSV 1893 Leipzig-Wahren's Donald Kasten proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to save TSV 1893 Leipzig-Wahren from getting a goal against them. When the match was over Marscheid FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than TSV 1893 Leipzig-Wahren throughout the match.
