Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Folker Fortuna made the kick off which started today's match. FC Hofmühle's Kurt Holstein got a good chance for a goal in the 5th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of T-Merlins booed when FC Hofmühle was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Janusz Schwartz didn't get a good kick on the ball. 9 minutes into the game, Achim Kirchhoff was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Hofmühle's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave T-Merlins the free kick. After 8 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for FC Hofmühle! Mirco Ansatz shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Nikolaos Philipp made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alessio Fricke in the 11th minute of play. Marco Rietzke made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Folker Fortuna in the 16th minute of play. If Alessio Fricke had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Kurt Holstein had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nikolaos Philipp came out of the goal in the 31st minute to try and stop a shot by T-Merlins's Götz Rahnefeld. But to his dismay, Götz Rahnefeld quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alessio Fricke in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nikolaos Philipp prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Götz Rahnefeld fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nikolaos Philipp having to interfere. Nikolaos Philipp took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ramon Grütters, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alessio Fricke to make the kick off. If Alessio Fricke had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kurt Holstein received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Marco Rietzke tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alessio Fricke's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nikolaos Philipp read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 59th minute of play. After 60 played minutes FC Hofmühle got a freekick which was hit by Kai Falke. In the 62nd minute, Alessio Fricke left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The T-Merlins fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Kai Falke kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Götz Rahnefeld sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 72 minutes into the game, Kurt Holstein cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Marco Rietzke was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Nikolaos Philipp didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Götz Rahnefeld went, in the 75th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. Erich Diesterhöft's late challenge caught a FC Hofmühle's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Erich Diesterhöft helped the player get up and apologised. Erich Diesterhöft hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Nikolaos Philipp took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alessio Fricke, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. FC Hofmühle's Nikolaos Philipp played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alessio Fricke in the 90th minute of play. In the 98th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Hofmühle's goalkeeper Nikolaos Philipp, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. FC Hofmühle's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
