Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Volker Jäck made the kick off and thus started the match. After a defensive mix-up in Holtensen's zone, Helmuth Grabert stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joachim Rüther came out of the goal and Helmuth Grabert tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Holtensen getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Volker Jäck hit a great ball. After 14 played minutes Neuberg got a freekick which was hit by Nils Groß. Neuberg's Max Hadeler played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lemmy Trendelenburg in the 18th minute of play. If Ennio Rapp had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lemmy Trendelenburg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 37th minute Lemmy Trendelenburg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Max Hadeler saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 44 minutes, Lemmy Trendelenburg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Holtensen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lemmy Trendelenburg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Lemmy Trendelenburg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Helmuth Grabert was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the game, Klaus Happel was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Holtensen's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Neuberg the free kick. After a rather tough play, Holtensen's Klaus Happel got a free kick in the 52nd minute. In the 54th minute the ball was on its way in behind Holtensen's goalkeeper Joachim Rüther, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of Holtensen booed when Neuberg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sevim Lendemans didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 60th minute of the match Klemens Furchner sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Max Hadeler skillfully saved the ball. Nils Groß recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Max Hadeler took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Volker Jäck, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Ennio Rapp came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Neuberg fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ennio Rapp couldn't finish the play. Helmuth Grabert recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 94 minutes of play, Holtensen's Lemmy Trendelenburg made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Max Hadeler was left in no man's land by his defense there! The Neuberg supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Holtensen's performance. The match ended with a win for Holtensen.
