Ricardo Wirkner took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rafael Kienböck, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Claus Wanneck prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The Edemissen players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. FC Türkiyem were winning 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jason Plum was the one to do the kick off. After some careless play in the FC Türkiyem defense, Mel Schnarr kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Claus Wanneck. The FC Türkiyem fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Claus Wanneck should have stopped the shot. Michael Bruske's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Claus Wanneck read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play.
