Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Stefan Roth got the match started through his kick off. After having played for 3 minutes, Michael Bruske managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Edemissen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Michael Bruske was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 8th match minute, Wendlingen Am Neckar FSV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rio Flick to maneuver through the defense. In the 9th minute, Reinhold Stoletzky sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Wendlingen Am Neckar FSV's Helmut Finnern didn't even have to move. Helmut Finnern showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mel Schnarr, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. After 11 played minutes Edemissen got a freekick which was hit by Altin Hallerbach. A collision led to Edemissen getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Reinhold Stoletzky hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Edemissen's zone, Friedemann Grooten stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ricardo Wirkner came out of the goal and Friedemann Grooten tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Reinhold Stoletzky took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 21st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Helmut Finnern. Wendlingen Am Neckar FSV's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Michael Bruske in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Helmut Finnern saved Wendlingen Am Neckar FSV from getting behind. In the 24th minute, Friedemann Grooten got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Stefan Roth sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Edemissen getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Altin Hallerbach hit a great ball. When Feddo Hensel fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Edemissen's protests and gave Feddo Hensel a yellow card for diving instead. Hauke Kurze placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! Helmut Finnern took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mel Schnarr, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 43 minutes into the game, Theobald Ahlswede was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Wendlingen Am Neckar FSV's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Edemissen the free kick. After a rather tough play, Wendlingen Am Neckar FSV's Theobald Ahlswede got a free kick in the 43rd minute. If Mel Schnarr had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Michael Bruske received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Helmut Finnern tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Michael Bruske to make the kick off. Michael Bruske fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Helmut Finnern having to interfere. When Egon Huber fell near the penalty area in the 58th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Edemissen's protests and gave Egon Huber a yellow card for diving instead. In the 59th match minute, Edemissen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Egon Huber to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Stefan Roth managed to get in a good position for a shot. Wendlingen Am Neckar FSV's supporters rose to their feet, but Stefan Roth was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ricardo Wirkner breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Edemissen's Reinhold Stoletzky got a free kick in the 61st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Friedemann Grooten in the 63rd minute of play forced Edemissen's goalkeeper Ricardo Wirkner to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 63 minutes, Stefan Roth mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Wendlingen Am Neckar FSV and the Edemissen players grew even worse after the yellow card. Stefan Roth hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. Wendlingen Am Neckar FSV's Helmut Finnern proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to save Wendlingen Am Neckar FSV from getting a goal against them. After 69 minutes of play, Wendlingen Am Neckar FSV's Friedemann Grooten made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ricardo Wirkner was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a defensive mix-up in Wendlingen Am Neckar FSV's zone, Michael Bruske stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Helmut Finnern came out of the goal and Michael Bruske tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 75th match minute, Edemissen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Altin Hallerbach to maneuver through the defense. Mel Schnarr scored 1-1 in the 79th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Helmut Finnern, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to Wendlingen Am Neckar FSV getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. August Anders hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Wendlingen Am Neckar FSV's Florentin Junker got a free kick in the 85th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Friedemann Grooten in the 89th minute of play forced Edemissen's goalkeeper Ricardo Wirkner to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Stefan Roth received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Ricardo Wirkner tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Stefan Roth came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Wendlingen Am Neckar FSV fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Stefan Roth couldn't finish the play.
