Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Christo Scheffler got the match started through his kick off. The supporters of FcGadebusch booed when Steckfeld FSV was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Malte Bloch didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Ingo Weidmann fell near the penalty area in the 5th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FcGadebusch's protests and gave Ingo Weidmann a yellow card for diving instead. After 5 played minutes FcGadebusch got a freekick which was hit by Ingo Weidmann. Malte Bloch charged in rather forcefully in the 7th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Malte Bloch the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. FcGadebusch's Wolfgang Kretzschmann played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sergio Kamp in the 22nd minute of play. Steckfeld FSV's Malte Bloch suffered a concussion after 26 minutes and had to leave the field. After 26 minutes, Wilfried Spieß mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FcGadebusch and the Steckfeld FSV players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 27th match minute, FcGadebusch was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wilfried Spieß to maneuver through the defense. FcGadebusch's Helge Paus couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 34th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Steckfeld FSV. In the 38th match minute, Steckfeld FSV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sergio Kamp to maneuver through the defense. 39 minutes into the game, Ulli Reinhoff was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Steckfeld FSV's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FcGadebusch the free kick. In the 39th minute, Ulli Reinhoff hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jakov Siebert received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Wolfgang Kretzschmann tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Jakov Sieberts short, quick shot in the 56thth minute got Wolfgang Kretzschmann to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After a defensive mix-up in Steckfeld FSV's zone, Christo Scheffler stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jerry Irmscher came out of the goal and Christo Scheffler tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Wilfried Spieß was shown his second yellow card after 61 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After a rather tough play, FcGadebusch's Wilfried Spieß got a free kick in the 62nd minute. After 62 played minutes, Steckfeld FSV's Edgar Trampenau shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Wolfgang Kretzschmann came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Steckfeld FSV reached it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jakov Siebert got free with Wolfgang Kretzschmann in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jakov Siebert fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wolfgang Kretzschmann having to interfere. If Jakov Siebert had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Christo Scheffler's late challenge caught a Steckfeld FSV's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Christo Scheffler helped the player get up and apologised. Christo Scheffler hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. After recieving a nice pass, Steckfeld FSV's Edgar Trampenau tried to score from far away in the 78th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After having played for 81 minutes, Jakov Siebert managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Steckfeld FSV's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jakov Siebert was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sergio Kamp got free with Wolfgang Kretzschmann in the 83rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Sergio Kamp fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wolfgang Kretzschmann having to interfere. In the 91st minute, Jakov Siebert got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 93rd minute the ball was on its way in behind FcGadebusch's goalkeeper Wolfgang Kretzschmann, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Steckfeld FSV players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
