In the 6th minute of the match Katterbach FSV got a corner. Schöndelt's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Lino Achterdeich ran over to the corner to take the kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Jurek Friz heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. A hard shot 14 in the game by Gernot Bechtron from a close distance when the talented Tarkan Hüter managed to make a qualified save. Schöndelt's players were relieved. An unexpectedly hard shot by Klemens Steffen in the 16th minute of play forced Schöndelt's goalkeeper Tarkan Hüter to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gernot Bechtron sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tarkan Hüter showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Klemens Steffen in the 25th minute of the match. Jurek Friz's late challenge caught a Schöndelt's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jurek Friz helped the player get up and apologised. In the 29th minute of the match Ludger Hardel shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dittmar Ruck showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Gernot Bechtron received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Tarkan Hüter tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Schöndelt getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Raphael Derm hit a great ball. Katterbach FSV's Dittmar Ruck played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Harry Seidl in the 43rd minute of play. In the 43rd minute, Rolf Rausch hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Lino Achterdeich made the kick off in the second half. In the 54thth minute of the game Gernot Bechtron who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Schöndelt's Tarkan Hüter was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Tarkan Hüter made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Klemens Steffen in the 55th minute of play. If Klemens Steffen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 64th minute, Lino Achterdeich made a precise shot to the right of Tarkan Hüter. Schöndelt's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Dittmar Ruck made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jürgen Wiemann in the 68th minute. Klemens Steffen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Tarkan Hüter tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 74 played minutes Katterbach FSV got a freekick which was hit by Jochen Barth. Tarkan Hüter showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gernot Bechtron, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Gernot Bechtron got in the 82nd a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Tarkan Hüter handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Tarkan Hüter came out of the goal in the 84th minute to try and stop a shot by Katterbach FSV's Gernot Bechtron. But to his dismay, Gernot Bechtron quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Katterbach FSV were furious when Tjard Musser was red carded, 89 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. A collision led to Katterbach FSV getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Tjard Musser hit a great ball. Ludger Hardel, 91 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. 93 minutes into the match, Katterbach FSV's goal looked a bit too open when Harry Seidl came free, but Dittmar Ruck reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Katterbach FSV fully deserved thier win.
