Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Mirko Irmisch started the match with the kick off. The goalkeeper, Ove Nittel, was totally fooled by Ammern's Stefan Riesenhuber, who 5 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Horst Riemer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Borussia Dortmund's Enzo Sprenger got a free kick in the 9th minute. Enzo Sprenger's late challenge caught a Ammern's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Enzo Sprenger helped the player get up and apologised. Enzo Sprenger kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. Borussia Dortmund's Ove Nittel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save Borussia Dortmund from getting a goal against them. Ammern's Horst Riemer got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Roland Aswald hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. In the 19th minute, Mirko Irmisch got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Mirko Irmisch sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jaromir Bleile hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. In the 23rd minute Morris Thieringer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marco Holtmann saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Borussia Dortmund's Morris Thieringer got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Maurizio Rösel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Achim Enders kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. Horst Riemer could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Ove Nittel made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Ammern's zone, Morris Thieringer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marco Holtmann came out of the goal and Morris Thieringer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Maurizio Rösel made a kick off. Morris Thieringer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mirko Irmisch fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marco Holtmann having to interfere. When Jaromir Bleile fell near the penalty area in the 59th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ammern's protests and gave Jaromir Bleile a yellow card for diving instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Morris Thieringer kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Marco Holtmann. That made the score 1-1 in the 60 minute of play. In the 65th minute Mirko Irmisch shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marco Holtmann saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Morris Thieringer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Borussia Dortmund booed when Ammern was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Herbert Piltz didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 75th minute Mirko Irmisch shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marco Holtmann saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Horst Riemer's late challenge caught a Borussia Dortmund's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The Borussia Dortmund fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Marco Holtmann took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mirko Irmisch, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Borussia Dortmund's Achim Enders got a free kick in the 89th minute. Horst Riemer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Ove Nittel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 92 minutes into the match, Ammern's goalkeeper Marco Holtmann had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Morris Thieringer. When the final whistle sounded Borussia Dortmund left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Ammern.
