Philipp Aretz charged in rather forcefully in the 2nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Philipp Aretz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 2 played minutes Welschbach FC got a freekick which was hit by Philipp Aretz. Georg Bodendiek could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 7th minute of the match, but Tom Stehr made a huge save. 9 minutes into the match, Ameling FSV's Georg Bodendiek sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tom Stehr narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Philipp Aretz in the 11th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jupp Schneider prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in Ameling FSV's zone, Mirco Dietrich stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jupp Schneider came out of the goal and Mirco Dietrich tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jupp Schneider showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Philipp Aretz in the 19th minute of the match. Perry Kaas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 28th minute, Georg Bodendiek got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 35 minutes into the match, Welschbach FC's goalkeeper Tom Stehr had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Georg Bodendiek. When Welschbach FC's Mirco Dietrich in the 38th minute got a chance for a shot 38th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ameling FSV's goalie prevented a goal. Tom Stehr made an important save on a dangerous shot by Georg Bodendiek in the 48th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Jupp Schneider came out of the goal and Mirco Dietrich tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Philipp Aretz came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Welschbach FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Philipp Aretz couldn't finish the play. Georg Bodendiek blasted a shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tom Stehr having to make a save. After a defensive mix-up in Welschbach FC's zone, Georg Bodendiek stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tom Stehr came out of the goal and Georg Bodendiek tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 59th minute, Perry Kaas made a precise shot to the right of Tom Stehr. Welschbach FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. After having played for 64 minutes, Perry Kaas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ameling FSV's supporters crossed their fingers, but Perry Kaas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Welschbach FC's Fabian Domann got a free kick in the 67th minute. In the 68th minute the ball was on its way in behind Welschbach FC's goalkeeper Tom Stehr, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Perry Kaas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tom Stehr made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Perry Kaas in the 73rd minute of play. Tom Stehr came out of the goal in the 79th minute to try and stop a shot by Ameling FSV's Georg Bodendiek. But to his dismay, Georg Bodendiek quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Jupp Schneider showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Philipp Aretz in the 82nd minute of the match. Georg Bodendiek fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tom Stehr having to interfere. The supporters of Ameling FSV booed when Welschbach FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hannes Pokorny didn't get a good kick on the ball. 90 minutes into the match, Welschbach FC's goal looked a bit too open when Perry Kaas came free, but Tom Stehr reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 93rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Ameling FSV's goalkeeper Jupp Schneider, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 95th minute Georg Bodendiek shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tom Stehr saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Georg Bodendiek had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Ameling FSV fans cheered their team off the field, for while Welschbach FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
