Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Eugen Hesselbach recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eugen Hesselbach in the 10th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dietmar Gingold prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Eugen Hesselbach sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Ewald Rau came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Gladbach fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ewald Rau couldn't finish the play. 22 minutes into the game, Arnulf Kahlert was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gladbach's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Borbeck FSV the free kick. Arnulf Kahlert hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. 25 minutes into the match, Gladbach's goal looked a bit too open when Jonas Bostock came free, but Dietmar Gingold reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dimitar Reininger showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ewald Rau in the 26th minute of the match. If Eugen Hesselbach had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 38th minute the ball was on its way in behind Gladbach's goalkeeper Dietmar Gingold, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ehrhard Hourani fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dimitar Reininger having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ewald Rau was the one to do the kick off. Dietmar Gingold was a little too slow when Eugen Hesselbach got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 55th minute. The score was now 0-2. Ewald Rau received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Dimitar Reininger tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 62 minutes into the match, Gladbach's goalkeeper Dietmar Gingold had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jonas Bostock. Ehrhard Hourani sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dimitar Reininger showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ewald Rau, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Ehrhard Hourani struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Dimitar Reininger didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gladbach. Eugen Hesselbach succeeded in the game's 82nd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-4. Ewald Rau fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dimitar Reininger having to interfere. Borbeck FSV's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
