The referee ignored FC DEMA's protests and gave Matt Kleinhansl a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to FC DEMA getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Matt Kleinhansl hit a great ball. If Dankward Hagen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 20 played minutes FC DEMA got a freekick which was hit by Friedrich Schmugge. After having played for 29 minutes, Dankward Hagen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Blue Lions FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dankward Hagen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 33 minutes, Friedrich Schmugge mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC DEMA and the Blue Lions FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Friedrich Schmugge kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Dankward Hagen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ludwig Bargon having to interfere. Rudi Wagner received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Safet Schramm tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Safet Schramm made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Matt Kleinhansl in the 43rd minute of play. Dankward Hagen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ludwig Bargon having to interfere.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dankward Hagen was the one to do the kick off. After 58 played minutes FC DEMA got a freekick which was hit by Friedrich Schmugge. When Sonny Dahms came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Blue Lions FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sonny Dahms couldn't finish the play. If Sonny Dahms had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Matt Kleinhansl fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Safet Schramm having to interfere. In the 68th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC DEMA's goalkeeper Ludwig Bargon, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Dankward Hagen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ludwig Bargon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sonny Dahms in the 73rd minute of the match. Dankward Hagen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ludwig Bargon having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dankward Hagen in the 82nd minute of play forced FC DEMA's goalkeeper Ludwig Bargon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 84 minutes of play, Blue Lions FC's Dankward Hagen made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net.
