Christoph Göttling showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Heinrich Krech in the 15th minute of the match. In the 17th minute Heinrich Krech shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christoph Göttling saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. One of FC Wuppi:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of The King Zone:s goal. The referee gave The King Zone a penalty, 46 minutes into the game. The FC Wuppi players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. The King Zone were winning 1-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Roland Freeh to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Roland Freeh ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Christoph Göttling was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. The audience was convinced that Edmund Blättgen's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Matthias Bäätjer was relentless in the 59th minute of the game. Kasimir Dobler kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Roland Freeh kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Christoph Göttling. That made the score 2-4 in the 82 minute of play. Tankred Hoffner's late challenge caught a FC Wuppi's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The King Zone's Matthias Bäätjer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kasimir Dobler in the 93rd minute of play.
