Maxim Maaßen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joachim Estler having to interfere. The supporters of FC Unkraut booed when Merschstrich FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rouven Lorenz didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 7th minute Lukas Huth shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joachim Estler saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 7th match minute, Merschstrich FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rouven Lorenz to maneuver through the defense. Maxim Maaßen struck a weak shot in the 8th minute. Joachim Estler didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Unkraut. After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Bert Ehrgott managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Unkraut's supporters rose to their feet, but Bert Ehrgott was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joachim Estler breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Joachim Estler took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bert Ehrgott, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Merschstrich FC defense, Bert Ehrgott kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Joachim Estler. The Merschstrich FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Joachim Estler should have stopped the shot. The audience was convinced that Tomislav Pollan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Joachim Estler was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. Rochus Tenberge took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valentin Klein, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Bert Ehrgott came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the FC Unkraut fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bert Ehrgott couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, FC Unkraut's Rochus Tenberge got control of the ball when Jörn Schleiermacher tried to sneak it across the goal line. FC Unkraut's Rochus Tenberge played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valentin Klein in the 29th minute of play. Rochus Tenberge made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jörn Schleiermacher in the 31st minute. Bert Ehrgott kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. In the 35th minute, Maxim Maaßen left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Unkraut fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Maxim Maaßen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 57 minutes into the match, Merschstrich FC's goal looked a bit too open when Lukas Huth came free, but Joachim Estler reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. FC Unkraut's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lukas Huth was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Through an outstanding action, after 65 minutes, Joachim Estler successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. With his leg Joachim Estler managed to avoid a goal in the 66thth minute, when FC Unkraut's Maxim Maaßen fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Rochus Tenberge showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Valentin Klein, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. FC Unkraut's Maxim Maaßen got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Bert Ehrgott fell near the penalty area in the 79th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Unkraut's protests and gave Bert Ehrgott a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Merschstrich FC booed when FC Unkraut was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. In the 96th minute, Maxim Maaßen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. FC Unkraut played a much better game than Merschstrich FC and deserved their victory. The Merschstrich FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
