A hard shot 3 in the game by Mike Bollwerk from a close distance when the talented Torsten Leihkauf managed to make a qualified save. FC Saufhampton's players were relieved. In the 4th minute of the match Ottershofen got a corner. FC Saufhampton's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Mattis Baumbach ran over to the corner to take the kick. After 5 played minutes Ottershofen got a freekick which was hit by Gerd Schellheimer. After a good free kick, Gerd Schellheimer got an opportunity to smash the ball into the goal, but unfortunately, the ball went just outside the goal, which resulted in a goal kick for FC Saufhampton. Wendelin Hennicke fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Torsten Leihkauf having to interfere. Gerd Schellheimer hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Gerd Schellheimer's late challenge caught a FC Saufhampton's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gerd Schellheimer helped the player get up and apologised. In the 21st minute, Gerd Schellheimer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 22nd minute, Folke Hasse got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Folke Hasse sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Torsten Leihkauf showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wendelin Hennicke, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Marco Lüpke received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Palle Sandt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Palle Sandt came out of the goal in the 41st minute to try and stop a shot by FC Saufhampton's Folke Hasse. But to his dismay, Folke Hasse quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Torsten Leihkauf didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mike Bollwerk went, in the 46th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Wendelin Hennicke made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Gerd Schellheimer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 54th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ottershofen's goalkeeper Palle Sandt, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 1-2 became the score in the 61st minute when Folke Hasse elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Folke Hasse blasted a shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Palle Sandt having to make a save. Hartwig Marz took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 66th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Torsten Leihkauf. FC Saufhampton's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. When Folke Hasse came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the FC Saufhampton fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Folke Hasse couldn't finish the play. Palle Sandt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marco Lüpke in the 73rd minute of the match. Adnan Sann's late challenge caught a Ottershofen's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Adnan Sann helped the player get up and apologised. Till Zengerle was extremely unlucky when he, in the 82nd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. 84 minutes into the match, FC Saufhampton's Folke Hasse sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Palle Sandt narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in FC Saufhampton's zone, Mike Bollwerk stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Torsten Leihkauf came out of the goal and Mike Bollwerk tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The FC Saufhampton players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
