Nüttel FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Klettbach the free kick. Herbert Bruhn fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mats-Alexander Bernhard having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Klettbach's zone, Vlado Naud stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mats-Alexander Bernhard came out of the goal and Vlado Naud tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Klettbach getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Hermann Streicher hit a great ball. When the match had gone on for 16 minutes, Vlado Naud put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Mats-Alexander Bernhard. 19 minutes into the match, Nüttel FC's Herbert Bruhn sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mats-Alexander Bernhard narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Mats-Alexander Bernhard took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vlado Naud, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vlado Naud in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mats-Alexander Bernhard prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Nüttel FC booed when Klettbach was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Colin Haug didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 39 minutes, Vlado Naud managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nüttel FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vlado Naud was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 44th minute, Frederik Hoffmeier fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Mats-Alexander Bernhard, passed just outside the right post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Herbert Bruhn got free with Mats-Alexander Bernhard in the 48th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Marc Kleine-Badenhorst made a kick off. When Frederik Hoffmeier fell near the penalty area in the 63rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Nüttel FC's protests and gave Frederik Hoffmeier a yellow card for diving instead. Frederik Hoffmeier hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Herbert Bruhn struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Mats-Alexander Bernhard didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nüttel FC. Mats-Alexander Bernhard showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Herbert Bruhn in the 71st minute of the match. After 73 minutes of play, Nüttel FC's Herbert Bruhn made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mats-Alexander Bernhard was left in no man's land by his defense there! Vlado Naud sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Herbert Bruhn couldn't finish the play. Armin Thielscher kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. After 85 minutes of play Klettbach's Armin Thielscher was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Herbert Bruhn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Günter Kreutzmann in the 91st minute of play forced Klettbach's goalkeeper Mats-Alexander Bernhard to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 92 minutes into the match, Klettbach's goal looked a bit too open when Herbert Bruhn came free, but Mats-Alexander Bernhard reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Herbert Bruhn sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nüttel FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
