Westermarscherloog FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sönke Behn was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. FC Zufallstreffer's Henrik Franiel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marc Scharfscheer in the 14th minute of play. Egon Friedl showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ingmar Nettig in the 15th minute of the match. Ingmar Nettig kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. 21 minutes into the match, FC Zufallstreffer's goal looked a bit too open when Walther Alt came free, but Henrik Franiel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 31stth minute of the game Walther Alt who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Zufallstreffer's Henrik Franiel was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to FC Zufallstreffer getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Cyril Heimann hit a great ball. Walther Alt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Henrik Franiel having to interfere. The nice shot from Marc Scharfscheer in the 45thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Henrik Franiel had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Marc Scharfscheer stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Axel Woldag fell near the penalty area in the 51st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Zufallstreffer's protests and gave Axel Woldag a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Westermarscherloog FC booed when FC Zufallstreffer was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Axel Woldag didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jonathan Erfurt hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Egon Friedl showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joschka Amberger in the 74th minute of the match. FC Zufallstreffer's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
