Leon Schaus fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Helko Meisl having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Clint Dujic during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 19th minute, Clint Dujic hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mirco Frohn might have been able to make a better finish in the 21st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Winfried Kramer. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mirco Frohn ran back to his position shaking his head. When Mirco Frohn came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the SV Neustadt-Pelzerhaken fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mirco Frohn couldn't finish the play. Helko Meisl showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dimitri Saager in the 29th minute of the match. In the 31st minute, Leon Schaus ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Helko Meisl was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Helko Meisl made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dimitri Saager in the 34th minute of play. 45 minutes into the game, Mirco Frohn recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Winfried Kramer. Mirco Frohn showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mirco Frohn was the one to do the kick off. When Marc Engelsmann fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SV Neustadt-Pelzerhaken's protests and gave Marc Engelsmann a yellow card for diving instead. In the 52nd match minute, SV Neustadt-Pelzerhaken was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marc Engelsmann to maneuver through the defense. Botnang FC's Vinzenz Johannsen got his second yellow card of the match in the 97th minute. The referee ordered Vinzenz Johannsen off the ground. 96 minutes into the game, one of Botnang FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Botnang FC:s Winfried Kramer showed great skill when he stopped Clint Dujic:s penalty.
