Thomas Neu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leopold Schlott having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Harald Vollmer managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hachen FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Harald Vollmer was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leopold Schlott breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 15th minute, one of Hachen FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Hachen FC. Jakob Weißgerber was extremely unlucky when he, in the 25th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. A collision led to Möstenberg FC getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Bruno Hempel hit a great ball. In the 34th match minute, Möstenberg FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Volkmar Rhein to maneuver through the defense. When Johan Wolters fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hachen FC's protests and gave Johan Wolters a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Möstenberg FC booed when Hachen FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Johan Wolters didn't get a good kick on the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jakob Weißgerber was the one to do the kick off. If Harald Vollmer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thomas Neu in the 57th minute of play forced Möstenberg FC's goalkeeper Leopold Schlott to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wolf Wuong received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. René Timmermann tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A hard shot 66 in the game by Harald Vollmer from a close distance when the talented Leopold Schlott managed to make a qualified save. Möstenberg FC's players were relieved. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Möstenberg FC had won after a very even match.
