Spectators: 36 (Terracing: 28, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Nils Haaf took the kick off in the first half of the match. After having played for 3 minutes, Nils Haaf managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Schachthalden's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nils Haaf was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Markus Witteler sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Josef Kramer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Rodolfo Rubeck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Leopold Thiemes short, quick shot in the 14thth minute got Uwe Ullrich to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Nils Haaf received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Uwe Ullrich tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 18th minute Max Zentgraf shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Uwe-Jens Kretschmann saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Uwe-Jens Kretschmann didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Max Zentgraf went, in the 20th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. 24 minutes into the match, Schachthalden's goal looked a bit too open when Markus Witteler came free, but Uwe-Jens Kretschmann reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 26 minutes of play, Homberg's Markus Witteler made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Uwe-Jens Kretschmann was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 32nd minute Max Zentgraf shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Uwe-Jens Kretschmann saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Uwe-Jens Kretschmann made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Markus Witteler in the 33rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Homberg's Max Zentgraf got a free kick in the 34th minute. The supporters of Schachthalden booed when Homberg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Max Zentgraf didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Homberg's Niko Gabriel got a free kick in the 40th minute. After some careless play in the Schachthalden defense, Markus Witteler kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Uwe-Jens Kretschmann. The Schachthalden fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Uwe-Jens Kretschmann should have stopped the shot. Benedikt Mackowiak received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Uwe Ullrich tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half Homberg were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Max Zentgraf was the one to do the kick off. When the match clock showed 52 minutes, the score became 1-3 when Ariel Höppner sped through Homberg's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Uwe Ullrich. In the 54th match minute, Homberg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Niko Gabriel to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 60 minutes, Rodolfo Rubeck managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nils Haaf ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 67th minute Nils Haaf shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Uwe Ullrich saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Schachthalden defense, Battista Pisula kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Uwe-Jens Kretschmann. The Schachthalden fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Uwe-Jens Kretschmann should have stopped the shot. Nils Haaf's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Uwe Ullrich read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 71st minute of play. In the 73rd minute, Tankred Petzolt ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Uwe-Jens Kretschmann was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-5. Nils Haaf received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Uwe Ullrich tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Homberg's Uwe Ullrich played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nils Haaf in the 86th minute of play. In the 87th minute, Josef Kramer sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Homberg's Uwe Ullrich didn't even have to move. In the 90th minute, Tankred Petzolt got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Schachthalden's zone, Max Zentgraf stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Uwe-Jens Kretschmann came out of the goal and Max Zentgraf tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
