Fritz Deuerling helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Nordhagen booed when Steinwinkel was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ingo Meier showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Lorenz Bobzien took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sebastian Herdzik, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ingo Meier showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chunche Davila in the 22nd minute of the match. Vicente Irabien struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Ingo Meier didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Steinwinkel. After having played for 31 minutes, Vicente Irabien managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Steinwinkel's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vicente Irabien was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hernando Avellana in the 34th minute of play forced Nordhagen's goalkeeper Ingo Meier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fritz Deuerling received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Ingo Meier tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Steinwinkel's Chunche Davila got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Thomas Bremer scored 0-2 in the 46th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lorenz Bobzien, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Nordhagen's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Steinwinkel the free kick. Sebastian Herdzik kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. Hernando Avellana blasted a shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ingo Meier having to make a save. When Gus Treusch came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Steinwinkel fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gus Treusch couldn't finish the play. Ingo Meier showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hernando Avellana in the 92nd minute of the match.
