In the 4th minute of the match, Anselm Sundmacher tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Erk Berger saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Magenta FC's Ernst Trumpf played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lauro Müllerwiebus in the 6th minute of play. A collision led to Caperücitënn getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Erhard Kurth hit a great ball. In the 8th minute, Frank Hiller got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Caperücitënn's Costa Dülfer got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Frank Hiller got free with Erk Berger in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Lauro Müllerwiebus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Caperücitënn getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Costa Dülfer hit a great ball. When the match had gone on for 26 minutes, Anselm Sundmacher took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Erk Berger to make any attempt to save it. Frank Hiller hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Magenta FC's zone, Mario Krapp stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ernst Trumpf came out of the goal and Mario Krapp tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ernst Trumpf took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dirk Prott, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Magenta FC getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Siegfried Hüppe hit a great ball. With a little luck, Caperücitënn's Erk Berger got control of the ball when Frank Hiller tried to sneak it across the goal line. After having played for 41 minutes, Elmer Aist managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Caperücitënn's supporters crossed their fingers, but Elmer Aist was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anselm Sundmacher in the 46th minute of play forced Caperücitënn's goalkeeper Erk Berger to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

In the 54th minute, Siegfried Hüppe made a precise shot to the right of Erk Berger. Caperücitënn's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. If Frank Hiller had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 60 minutes into the match, Magenta FC's goalkeeper Ernst Trumpf had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lauro Müllerwiebus. After 61 minutes, Marcel Koerlin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Magenta FC and the Caperücitënn players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Magenta FC's Siegfried Hüppe got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Ernst Trumpf was out of position in the 62 minute of play, and Lauro Müllerwiebus capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Lauro Müllerwiebus really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. Mario Krapp sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 69 minutes into the match, Caperücitënn's goal looked a bit too open when Frank Hiller came free, but Erk Berger reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 71stth minute of the game Anselm Sundmacher who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Caperücitënn's Erk Berger was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 76 minutes into the match, Frank Hiller notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Caperücitënn's Erk Berger. Erk Berger was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Dirk Prott received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Ernst Trumpf tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 83 minutes, Mario Krapp mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Caperücitënn and the Magenta FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 83rd minute, Mario Krapp hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Erk Berger came out of the goal in the 86th minute to try and stop a shot by Magenta FC's Frank Hiller. But to his dismay, Frank Hiller quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Magenta FC had won after a very even match.
