After 4 played minutes Burkau got a freekick which was hit by Kim Eiting. Emmerich Gröber received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. David-Pascal Weichelt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Oskar Balser received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Emmerich Gröber stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Oskar Balser got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 55th minute, Mellenbach FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Oskar Balser fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Benny Natusch made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patric Münstermann in the 57th minute of play. If Oskar Balser had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Emmerich Gröber in the 66th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg David-Pascal Weichelt saved Mellenbach FC from getting behind. David-Pascal Weichelt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emmerich Gröber, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Oskar Balser got free with David-Pascal Weichelt in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 71st minute, Emmerich Gröber got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the match had gone on for 72 minutes, Emmerich Gröber put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of David-Pascal Weichelt. The audience thought a goal was coming when Willi Kau got free with David-Pascal Weichelt in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Emmerich Gröber sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Oskar Balser blasted a shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without David-Pascal Weichelt having to make a save. Mellenbach FC's David-Pascal Weichelt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emmerich Gröber in the 88th minute of play. David-Pascal Weichelt didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Oskar Balser went, in the 90th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. In the 93rd minute, Willi Kau hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 94th minute, Claus Reiners left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mellenbach FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Burkau's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
