When the match clock showed 33 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Baldo Fürkötter sped through Die Alten Eichen's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Tomasz Schlepphorst. In the 38th minute, Reiner Poschmann left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Trabzon fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 5-0.

The wind increased when Reiner Poschmann made the kick off in the second half. 57 minutes into the match, FC Trabzon's goalkeeper Roland Dülfer had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lemmy Kunze. 59 minutes had been played when some careless play by Die Alten Eichen's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Reiner Poschmann was slow to take the kick. During this time FC Trabzon's players had a chance to rest. At last the ball reached Haimo Brunkhorst at the corner, ending with a kick to difficult to stop for the goalkeeper of Die Alten Eichen. 7-0. After 61 minutes, Max Sauer mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Die Alten Eichen and the FC Trabzon players grew even worse after the yellow card. Max Sauer kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. 66 minutes into the match, FC Trabzon's Boris Söderström sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tomasz Schlepphorst narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Tomasz Schlepphorst was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Baldo Fürkötter had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Lemmy Kunze came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Die Alten Eichen fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lemmy Kunze couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, FC Trabzon's Haimo Brunkhorst got a free kick in the 77th minute. Roland Dülfer was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Maiko Geladaris. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lemmy Kunze got free with Roland Dülfer in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Die Alten Eichen getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Guido Wosnitza hit a great ball. Boris Söderström took the ball and in the 93 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tomasz Schlepphorst. Tomasz Schlepphorst dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 9-1. Reiner Poschmann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tomasz Schlepphorst having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. FC Trabzon had won after a very even match.
