In the 7th minute Erik Scheiblich shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gary Gryphius saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fallingbostel FC were furious when Marcel Zukrigl was red carded, 24 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In a very dangerous position, a player in Fallingbostel FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 24th minute. Penalty! After a defensive mix-up in Fallingbostel FC's zone, Erik Scheiblich stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gary Gryphius came out of the goal and Erik Scheiblich tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 32 minutes into the match, Fallingbostel FC's goal looked a bit too open when Nikolai Durr came free, but Gary Gryphius reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nuri Klingenbeck in the 33rd minute of play forced FK Pirmasens's goalkeeper Hardi Theobald to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Matthias Brux received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Hardi Theobald tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 38th minute Nuri Klingenbeck shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hardi Theobald saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in FK Pirmasens's zone, Matthias Brux stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hardi Theobald came out of the goal and Matthias Brux tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Gary Gryphius made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ole Woltering in the 52nd minute. After a rather tough play, Fallingbostel FC's Gottfried Hommel got a free kick in the 54th minute. A collision led to Fallingbostel FC getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Olaf Baitinger hit a great ball. Gary Gryphius was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Lothar Niederstebruch. If Nuri Klingenbeck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gary Gryphius made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nikolai Durr in the 63rd minute. A hard shot 68 in the game by Nikolai Durr from a close distance when the talented Gary Gryphius managed to make a qualified save. Fallingbostel FC's players were relieved. The supporters of FK Pirmasens booed when Fallingbostel FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yannik Heimann didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lothar Niederstebruch, 73 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After 78 played minutes FK Pirmasens got a freekick which was hit by Nikolai Durr. With a little luck, Fallingbostel FC's Gary Gryphius got control of the ball when Nikolai Durr tried to sneak it across the goal line. Nuri Klingenbeck fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hardi Theobald having to interfere. If Matthias Brux had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hardi Theobald took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nuri Klingenbeck, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 96 minutes, Matthias Brux managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fallingbostel FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Matthias Brux was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fallingbostel FC were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
