Herminio Iztal was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Eckehard Deckert had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eckehard Deckert in the 8th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Siim Kikas saved De Gulden Draak from getting behind. Erwin Backes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 12th minute of the match, but Herminio Iztal made a huge save. In the 13th minute De Gulden Draak were awarded a corner. Anselm Neuhäuser went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Anselm Neuhäuser got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Herminio Iztal quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 16 minutes into the match, Odeweg FSV's goal looked a bit too open when Claudius Marsching came free, but Herminio Iztal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With 18 minutes on the clock, Walter Klingemann commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 18th minute of the game. One of Odeweg FSV:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of De Gulden Draak:s goal. When the match had been going on for 20 minutes, De Gulden Draak's Anselm Neuhäuser got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Herminio Iztal. 23 minutes into the match, De Gulden Draak's goal looked a bit too open when Gerald Kröger came free, but Siim Kikas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Siim Kikas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gerald Kröger in the 24th minute of play. Herminio Iztal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Claudius Marsching, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 43rd minute of the match De Gulden Draak got a corner. Odeweg FSV's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Anselm Neuhäuser ran over to the corner to take the kick. 47 minutes into the game, Fredy Brusberg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Odeweg FSV's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave De Gulden Draak the free kick. De Gulden Draak's Ronald Breitbücher was substituted for Claudius Marsching. Fredy Brusberg kicked well hit freekick during the 48th minute of the match. Herminio Iztal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ronald Breitbücher, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Manuel Peres made a kick off. Manuel Peres fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Herminio Iztal having to interfere. When De Gulden Draak's Ronald Breitbücher in the 60th minute got a chance for a shot 60th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Nico Gudd received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Siim Kikas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eckehard Deckert struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Siim Kikas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Odeweg FSV. In the 94th match minute, De Gulden Draak was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anselm Neuhäuser to maneuver through the defense. In the 95th minute the ball was on its way in behind De Gulden Draak's goalkeeper Siim Kikas, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 96 minutes, Edward Kalnik mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Odeweg FSV and the De Gulden Draak players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of De Gulden Draak booed when Odeweg FSV was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edward Kalnik didn't get a good kick on the ball. Herminio Iztal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manuel Peres, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
