Miroslav Štancl showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zoran Rydlo, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. After 12 minutes, Petr Dragoun mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Pohora and the AC Sparta Praha players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 12th minute, Petr Dragoun hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Vojtěch Šandor's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ladislav Moravec was relentless in the 14th minute of the game. Miroslav Štancl showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zoran Rydlo, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. 40 minutes into the match, FC Pohora's goal looked a bit too open when Zdenek Trnka came free, but Ladislav Moravec reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Miroslav Štancl was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Petr Dragoun. Miroslav Štancl made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vendelín Lukeš in the 45th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Zoran Rydlo to strike the kick off in the second half. The crowd rose to their feet as AC Sparta Praha's Jaromír Chlup slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ladislav Moravec. That made the score 1-1 after 61 minutes of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jaromír Chlup during the 64th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to AC Sparta Praha getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Jaromír Chlup hit a great ball. After taking down the ball on FC Pohora's corner Jan Fajkus fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Miroslav Štancl quite easily take care of the ball. AC Sparta Praha's Miroslav Štancl played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zoran Rydlo in the 75th minute of play. Václav Herzán kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. 79 minutes into the game, Zoran Rydlo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Miroslav Štancl was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Vendelín Lukeš managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Pohora's supporters rose to their feet, but Vendelín Lukeš was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Miroslav Štancl breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ladislav Moravec took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Václav Herzán, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. FC Pohora's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
