In the last second Endrik Engel throw himself and got hold of the ball when Thierry Schneider in the 14thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. The supporters of Lütmerken booed when Fraserburgh Wet Squirrels was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joseph Bolliger didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lütmerken's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Kiran Kottmann in the 18th minute. Carol Sticher showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Remo Graf in the 22nd minute of the match. 27 minutes into the match, Fraserburgh Wet Squirrels's Thierry Schneider sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Endrik Engel narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Remo Graf had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fraserburgh Wet Squirrels's Carol Sticher played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mikael Cicchetti in the 35th minute of play. After having played for 38 minutes, Mikael Cicchetti managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lütmerken's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mikael Cicchetti was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Carol Sticher took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mikael Cicchetti, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

In the 61st minute of the match, Mikael Cicchetti tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Carol Sticher saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Fraserburgh Wet Squirrels's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lütmerken the free kick. In the 66th minute, one of Fraserburgh Wet Squirrels:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Fraserburgh Wet Squirrels. 2-2 came through a penalty shot after 68 played minutes, when Lütmerken:s Kiran Kottmann calmly waited for Fraserburgh Wet Squirrels:s goalkeeper to move before he rolled in the ball by the right post. After a defensive mix-up in Fraserburgh Wet Squirrels's zone, Remo Graf stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carol Sticher came out of the goal and Remo Graf tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 73 minutes, Reik Nager managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lütmerken's supporters crossed their fingers, but Reik Nager was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Endrik Engel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Thierry Schneider, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. In the 77th minute, Mikael Cicchetti got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 84th minute, Thierry Schneider made a precise shot to the right of Endrik Engel. Lütmerken's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-2. After 89 minutes, Everett von Rohr mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lütmerken and the Fraserburgh Wet Squirrels players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Lütmerken's Everett von Rohr got a free kick in the 89th minute. Fraserburgh Wet Squirrels's Jorge Rondinelli got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thierry Schneider blasted a shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Endrik Engel having to make a save. After some fancy dribbling in the 99th minute, Jorge Rondinelli managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fraserburgh Wet Squirrels's supporters rose to their feet, but Jorge Rondinelli was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Endrik Engel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
