When Stephen Nietlisbach fell near the penalty area in the 8th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Urnerstafel AC's protests and gave Stephen Nietlisbach a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Urnerstafel AC getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Stephen Nietlisbach hit a great ball. Fc Janisen's Steffen Pfaff got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Scott Baum struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Uwe Kessler didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fc Janisen. Uwe Kessler took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Steffen Pfaff, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Fc Janisen booed when Urnerstafel AC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benoit Enzmann didn't get a good kick on the ball. Urnerstafel AC's Uwe Kessler played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Steffen Pfaff in the 25th minute of play. Urnerstafel AC's Uwe Kessler proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save Urnerstafel AC from getting a goal against them. When Günter Wollenmann fell near the penalty area in the 39th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Urnerstafel AC's protests and gave Günter Wollenmann a yellow card for diving instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Steffen Pfaff in the 42nd minute of play forced Urnerstafel AC's goalkeeper Uwe Kessler to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fc Janisen's Maurizio Restle played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amadeo Schweitzer in the 45th minute of play. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kristof Lieckfeldt stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Kristof Lieckfeldt's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Maurizio Restle was relentless in the 52nd minute of the game. After 53 played minutes Fc Janisen got a freekick which was hit by Lucas Ottiger. Amadeo Schweitzer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maurizio Restle having to interfere. Amadeo Schweitzers short, quick shot in the 72ndth minute got Maurizio Restle to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 73rd minute of the match, Kristof Lieckfeldt tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Maurizio Restle saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. When Scott Baum came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Fc Janisen fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Scott Baum couldn't finish the play. In the 82nd minute, Steffen Pfaff ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Uwe Kessler was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Steffen Pfaff struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Uwe Kessler didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fc Janisen. If Kristof Lieckfeldt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Scott Baum blasted a shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Uwe Kessler having to make a save. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Fc Janisen fully deserved thier win.
