Spectators: 36 (Terracing: 28, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Aaron Syz started the match with the kick off. Ballaigues SC's Ken Schläfli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jesse Schneider in the 3rd minute of play. After having played for 5 minutes, Kenneth Melliger managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ballaigues SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kenneth Melliger was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Steve Pomi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aaron Syz in the 7th minute of play. Kenneth Melliger might have been able to make a better finish in the 8th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Steve Pomi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Kenneth Melliger ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience was convinced that Markus Thalberg's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ken Schläfli was relentless in the 12th minute of the game. After 16 played minutes Ballaigues SC got a freekick which was hit by Andrew Apicella. In the 16th minute, Rodrique Baecker sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Ballaigues SC's Ken Schläfli didn't even have to move. After a defensive mix-up in Schwarzenthal's zone, Kenneth Melliger stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Steve Pomi came out of the goal and Kenneth Melliger tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Steve Pomi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aaron Syz in the 23rd minute of play. Ken Schläfli came out of the goal in the 24th minute to try and stop a shot by Schwarzenthal's Markus Thalberg. But to his dismay, Markus Thalberg quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. With his leg Steve Pomi managed to avoid a goal in the 33rdth minute, when Ballaigues SC's Aaron Syz fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Jack Nolle's late challenge caught a Schwarzenthal's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jack Nolle helped the player get up and apologised. In the 37th minute of the match Rodrique Baecker shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ken Schläfli showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 39th match minute, Ballaigues SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andrew Apicella to maneuver through the defense. Cäsar Gerner charged in rather forcefully in the 41st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cäsar Gerner the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 41st minute, Cäsar Gerner hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Markus Thalberg got free with Ken Schläfli in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Steve Pomi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aaron Syz in the 56th minute of the match. Aaron Syz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Steve Pomi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 62 minutes into the match, Schwarzenthal's Markus Thalberg sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ken Schläfli narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jesse Schneider received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Ken Schläfli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Schwarzenthal booed when Ballaigues SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Earvin Seitz didn't get a good kick on the ball.
