Spectators: 38 (Terracing: 29, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Aaron Syz started the match with the kick off. Andrew Apicella hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. In the 7th minute, Henri Allmen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jonathan Reiter was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 11 minutes into the match. Connor Schällibaum had in the 12thth minute some difficulties stopping Jack Nolle's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 12th minute, Jack Nolle made a precise shot to the right of Connor Schällibaum. Mon's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Hubert Strebel managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mon's supporters rose to their feet, but Hubert Strebel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ken Schläfli breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Hubert Strebel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ken Schläfli having to interfere. Ken Schläfli made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Freeman Sperisen sent off a good shot on target. Connor Schällibaum made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kenneth Melliger in the 20th minute of play. In the 22nd minute, Aaron Syz had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. Ivo Batsch's late challenge caught a Ballaigues SC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ivo Batsch helped the player get up and apologised. In the 23rd match minute, Mon was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ivo Batsch to maneuver through the defense. 25 minutes into the game, Ballaigues SC's Kenneth Melliger nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Connor Schällibaum made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Freeman Sperisen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Ballaigues SC's Cäsar Gerner got a free kick in the 30th minute. After 38 played minutes Mon got a freekick which was hit by Henri Allmen. After having played for 45 minutes, Flo Hoch managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mon's supporters crossed their fingers, but Flo Hoch was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Freeman Sperisen was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute Hubert Strebel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ken Schläfli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kenneth Melliger blasted a shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Connor Schällibaum having to make a save. 58 minutes into the match, Ballaigues SC's Andrew Apicella sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Connor Schällibaum narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Flo Hoch had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 64 minutes, Freeman Sperisen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mon's supporters crossed their fingers, but Freeman Sperisen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mon made a substitution. Constantin Lajoie replaced Flo Hoch. After a rather tough play, Mon's Hajo Chalut got a free kick in the 72nd minute. Ballaigues SC's Jack Nolle shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 73rd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Connor Schällibaum but with some difficulty. Federico Sevier kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. Ken Schläfli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hubert Strebel in the 85th minute of play. Freeman Sperisen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Hubert Strebel struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Ken Schläfli didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mon. Freeman Sperisen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Mon lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
